Ad eseguirli sarà la ditta Grimaudo di Alcamo. Si interverrà nelle località Scirinda, Bocca Vallone e Galizia e l'importo dei lavori è di 152mila euro circa. Sono 151 le offerte che sono state presentate e la ditta aggiudicataria ha effettuato un ribasso d’asta pari al 17%. Adesso si attende la firma del contratto dopodiche i lavori potranno iniziare. Contiamo di iniziare l'intervento di sistemazione entro la stagione estiva e comunque prima dell’inizio delle piogge autunnali, dichiarano il sindaco Carmelo Pace e l’assessore all'agricoltura Domenico Aque', le contrade interessate chiaramente non sono le uniche che necessitano di interventi straordinari ma sono quelle che hanno subito gravissimi danni a seguito del nubifragio del 2018. I fondi a disposizione per l’investimento sono del bilancio comunale e a tal proposito Pace e Aquè ringraziano la maggioranza consiliare e tutto il consiglio comunale per aver permesso questi interventi. La viabilità rurale nel territorio che ricade nel Comune di Ribera, prosegue l'amministrazione, è di oltre 500 chilometri e con le esigue risorse comunali è davvero una utopia immaginare di potere risolvere il problema, moltissimi imprenditori agricoli riscontrano serie difficoltà a raggiungere le loro aziende con inevitabili ripercussioni sui costi di produzione. Da qui l'accorato appello di Pace e Aquè ai governi regionale e nazionale. Senza un aiuto straordinario dello Stato e della Regione anche la futura amministrazione comunale avrà enormi difficoltà a soddisfare le esigenze del mondo agricolo, concludono il sindaco di Ribera e l'assessore all'agricoltura.
