Il parcheggio selvaggio divide la città di Sciacca, al pari di tutte le altre questioni più o meno importanti. Un fenomeno che torna di attualità nell’estate 2020, quella in cui al 20 luglio attendiamo ancora la chiusura al traffico veicolare del centro storico, quella che consenta di poter passeggiare in tranquillità e al tempo stesso apprezzare la bellezza dei vicoli e delle piazze di Sciacca. Luoghi suggestivi che abbiamo “scoperto” giusto la scorsa estate, nel corso dell’evento degli stilisti Dolce e Gabbana e non solo grazie agli allestimenti. Statue, tappeti, piante e luminarie avevano certamente contribuito a trasformare il centro storico saccense, ma gran parte dell’effetto scenico è scaturito dal semplice fatto che vie, vicoli e piazze erano liberi dalle auto. Un anno dopo, stiamo ancora aspettando che venga disposta la Ztl, almeno nelle ore serali e almeno nel fine settimana. Contribuirebbe sicuramente ad evitare il fenomeno del parcheggio selvaggio nella via Roma, così come nelle altre arterie del centro storico e persino a ridosso delle catene pure collocate in piazza Duomo o davanti l’ingresso del palazzo municipale. Le foto che state vedendo testimoniano la situazione di sabato sera e ci sono state inviate da uno dei saccensi ancora capaci di indignarsi e di evidenziare come questa città proprio non riesca a fare il salto di qualità. Tutto ciò passa dal comportamento di ogni cittadino, ma anche e soprattutto dalla scelte di chi amministra. Un anno fa, quando Dolce e Gabbana ci fecero scoprire ciò che abbiamo quotidianamente sotto gli occhi, anche l’amministrazione comunale con entusiamo parlò di piazze e vicoli da chiudere 365 giorni l’anno per restituirli alla bellezza dei luoghi. Adesso a estate inoltrata aspettiamo ancora che si riesca almeno nelle ore serali del fine settimana a evitare ad auto e scooter di scorrazzare tra corso Vittorio Emanuele e via Licata.
Insomma, non pensavamo proprio di dover agognare anche una chiusura al traffico del centro storico saccense. Eppure è l’estate di Sciacca Open Space, quella da vivere all’aperto, dilatando gli spazi.
