non segue il classico itinerario coast to coast a bordo dell'imbarcazione ma viaggia idealmente lungo la penisola grazie ad una ancora più intensa partecipazione attiva dei cittadini, attraverso la citizen science e la promozione della territorialità in difesa delle acque e delle coste italiane.
In provincia di Agrigento sono stati effettuati tre prelievi che hanno interessato altrettanti sbocchi fluviali, ed esattamente la foce dell’Akragas, quella del Fiume Naro e, a Sciacca, il torrente Cansalamone. I risultati saranno resi noti venerdì 31 luglio. In provincia di Agrigento Legambiente, oltre ai tre prelievi, effettuerà due giornate di sensibilizzazione in spiaggia in collaborazione con il Circolo Legambiente “Rabat” di Agrigento, e operatori e volontari del Servizio Civile Universale delle riserve naturali “Macalube di Aragona” e “Grotta di Sant’Angelo Muxaro”.
L’iniziativa si svolgerà lunedì e martedì prossimi, dalle ore 09:00 alle 13:00, rispettivamente a Maddalusa ed a Lido Cannatello, e consisterà nell’allestimento in spiaggia di un punto-informazione e divulgazione per la corretta fruizione dell’ambiente spiaggia-mare, con un focus specifico sul problema dell’abbandono indiscriminato di rifiuti e sullo sforzo che tutti possono e devono produrre per combattere tale fenomeno ponendo in essere comportamenti corretti che siano d’esempio per tutti. In particolare verrà promossa tra i bagnanti la #GolettaChallenge, vera e propria sfida social dell’estate attraverso la quale Legambiente invita a ripulire dai rifiuti anche solo un piccolo pezzettino di spiaggia e a condividere, per l’appunto, la foto di questo impegno sui social, sfidando poi tre o più amici a fare altrettanto e contribuendo così a una catena di buone azioni in difesa del pianeta. Tra coloro che si lasceranno coinvolgere nelle “sfide” che saranno proposte nel corso delle due giornate in palio gadgets targati Legambiente.
