per il rinnovo della carica del sindaco e del consiglio comunale, elezioni concluse nella giornata di ieri.
Soltanto alla Città dei Templi gli elettori saranno nuovamente chiamati al voto per il ballottaggio previsto il 18 e 19 ottobre prossimi. Ad Agrigento città a sfidarsi saranno: Franco Miccichè che ha ottenuto 10.506 voti pari al 36, 65%, risultato il più votato ma non abbastanza da vincere a primo turno, e Lillo Firetto, sindaco uscente che ha raggiunto 7.960 preferenze, pari a 27.76%. Per loro si riapre, dunque, nuovamente la campagna elettorale.
Nei restanti sette Comuni interessati dalle amministrative sono, invece, già noti i nomi dei nuovi primi cittadini.
Com’è ormai noto nell’hinterland saccense, a Ribera è Matteo Ruvolo il nuovo sindaco, con il 42% dei voti, ovverosia 2.606 preferenze.
Con 763 voti, pari al 57,11%, Dario Gaglio è il nuovo sindaco di Camastra: realtà che esce dal commissariamento che è seguito allo scioglimento del consiglio comunale per ingerenze mafiose. Gaglio, volto nuovo della politica, è riuscito ad imporsi sull'ex sindaco Angelo Cascià che ha ottenuto 573 preferenze, pari 42,89%.
Passando a Cammarata, con il 52,25 %, Giuseppe Mangiapane , appoggiato dal sindaco uscente Vincenzo Giambrone, l'ha spuntata sull'altro candidato Giuliano Traina che ha, invece, ottenuto il 47,74 % dei voti.
A Casteltermini Gioacchino Nicastro con 2.166 è il nuovo sindaco e, forse è una prima volta, il consiglio comunale del comune dell’agrigentino sarà a maggioranza femminile (ben 7 consiglieri su 10). Al secondo posto Ripepe con 1.552 voti.
Per quanto riguarda la città di Raffadali viene riconfermato sindaco Silvio Cuffaro con il 64,59% dei voti cioè 5.150 preferenze, mentre Tuttolomondo si ferma al 32% con 2.551voti.
A Realmonte vince l’assessore uscente Sabrina Lattuca che diventa il nuovo sindaco con 1.370 voti pari al 46,73%, seguita da Putrone con 1.255 preferenze.
Infine, nel comune di Siculiana viene eletto l’ex segretario provinciale del Partito Democratico Peppe Zambito con 1.303 voti pari al 43,98%.
In generale, su complessivi 117.618 aventi diritto al voto negli otto Comuni dell'Agrigentino interessati alla tornata elettorale, sono andati alle urne in 69.435 elettori. Cammarata si conferma il paese con l'affluenza più alta: ha raggiunto il 75,88% degli elettori. Non è andata male neanche ad Agrigento dove si è registrato 62,98%. La vicina Ribera ha fatto registrare una affluenza del 58,09 per cento. Sui 20.286 elettori hanno votato in 11.948. Il calo - rispetto a 5 anni addietro - è stato del 5%.
