Con 4.894 preferenze, ossia il 42 % , ha sbaragliato la concorrenza. Alfredo Mulè, pure sostenuto da sei liste di candidati al Consiglio Comunale, si è fermato al 28%, avendo ottenuto 3310 preferenze.
2394 i voti ottenuti dall’ex assessore Francesco Montalbano che con il 20% del consenso si è piazzato terzo, non riuscendo però a far approdare in Consiglio Comunale nessuno dei candidati delle quattro liste che lo avevano sostenuto. Deludente il risultato del candidato sindaco del Movimento 5 Stelle Vincenzo Rossello, appena il 6 % con 715 preferenze, e di testimonianza, in termini numerici, la candidatura di Franco Auteri, ha ottenuto il 2% con 290 preferenze.
