a rivedere la distribuzione sul territorio della rete ospedaliera, potenziandone i presidi ed avendo come unico punto di riferimento la salute ed il benessere dei Siciliani.
Bene ha fatto l’attuale Governo Regionale con il suo Assessore alla Salute Ruggero Razza – si legge in una nota diffusa oggi dalla Rete Sociale Attiva - che ha accorpato vari reparti eliminando una inutile dispendio di Dirigenti Medici e Primari che a fronte di costi elevati dirigevano reparti alle volte composti di una sola stanza, ma questa azione di razionalizzazione - secondo il presidente dell’Associazione - non dovrà mai estendersi fino alla chiusura degli Ospedali presenti nella nostra isola.
Il diritto alla salute, sancito anche dalla Costituzione Italiana, ci impone di chiedere all’Assessore Ruggero Razza – si legge nel comunicato di oggi - a imporre il mantenimento di tutte le strutture ospedaliere senza eliminarne o depotenziarne nessuna.
Ospedali come quello di Castelvetrano che è punto di riferimento dell’intera Valle del Belice composta da ben 9 comuni, vanno potenziati e non ridimensionati in nome di una presunta razionalizzazione dei costi. Ma questo vale – aggiunge la Rete Sociale Attiva - anche per i tanti ospedali presenti nelle medio/piccole città della Sicilia che, se fosse applicato il principio imposto dal Governo Nazionale, rischiano seriamente di scomparire.
Nella nota si legge ancora: “Dare vita ad una rete ospedaliera, nella Regione, per superficie, più estesa d’Italia ed abitata da circa 5 milioni di abitanti, con appena 57 ospedali, che corrispondono ad un ospedale ogni 88 mila abitanti, è un assurdo sanitario.
La Sicilia, secondo il D.M. 70/2015, può disporre di solo 7 Aziende Ospedaliere DEA di II livello con modelli organizzativi ed operativi di maggiore specializzazione. Scelta organizzativa che, secondo il parere dell’associazione, disattende totalmente l’obiettivo primario di curare e possibilmente guarire i siciliani.
L’associazione ricorda, inoltre, che interi territori, con questi criteri organizzativi, sono di fatto tagliati fuori dalla possibilità, per i loro abitanti, di poter raggiungere tempestivamente, in caso di emergenza, l’ospedale più vicino attrezzato per le loro necessità.
I Governi Nazionali e Regionali che si sono susseguiti in questi ultimi decenni hanno proposto varie riforme con l’obiettivo ufficiale di contenendone i costi. Hanno iniziato per prima cosa a cambiare il nome delle strutture ospedaliere trasformandole tutte in “AZIENDE” ospedaliere, che hanno il compito di far quadrare i conti ed i bilanci come principio base, senza, però, crearsi alcuno scrupolo se la cura e la prevenzione per la salute dei cittadini passasse in secondo piano. Nessuno mette in dubbio che il Sistema Sanitario Nazionale e quindi anche quello siciliano, doveva essere riformato e rimodulato – conclude Andrea Monteleone presidente di Rete Sociale Attiva Sicilia - ma certamente questa volontà non deve andare contro la salute e la sicurezza sanitaria dei siciliani.
