con partenza da Sciacca, è stato rinviato su disposizione della Prefettura di Agrigento per via della “Zona rossa”. E’ stato, però, immediatamente riprogrammato e fissato per sabato 1 Maggio. Era stata la stessa TriO Eventi, organizzatrice del Sicily International Triathlon, ieri, ad annunciare l'annullamento dell'evento nella data originariamente programmata, nonostante le normative in vigore permettano lo svolgimento di gare di interesse nazionale anche in zona rossa. La prefettura di Agrigento non ha ritenuto opportuno concedere l'autorizzazione alla luce della situazione epidemiologica nel comune di Sciacca.
La società organizzatrice dell’evento ha preso atto della decisione, seppure con rammarico considerato che si lavorava ormai da settimane alla manifestazione e nel rispetto delle norme di sicurezza legate al Covid. Quello in programma il 27 marzo sarebbe stato il primo weekend di Triathlon della stagione, all'insegna dello sport e del divertimento. Non si è perso tempo, però, nel riprogrammare l’evento . Ed è ufficiale che si svolgerà nella giornata del Primo Maggio. Lo ha confermato, stamattina, anche il deputato regionale Michele Catanzaro dopo una serie di contatti con il comitato organizzatore e in particolare con Biagio Maglienti, il giornalista di Sky Sport di origini saccensi con il quale è stato condiviso il progetto che vuole essere strumento di valorizzazione della proposta turistica nell'area geografica di Sciacca e opportunità di lavoro per tante strutture ricettive.
