affidato dal Comune di Castelvetrano alla Fondazione “San Vito Onlus”, il clan “Cime tempestose” del gruppo scout “Mazara 2” (Scout d’Europa), è stato raccolto origano nel fondo confiscato alla mafia. A guidare i ragazzi, Tonino Margiotta (capo clan), Filippo Caracausi (maestro dei novizi) e il presidente della Fondazione, Vito Puccio. L’attività rientra nell’ambito del programma “Scout per la legalità”, promosso in occasione dell’anniversario della strage di Capaci in cui morirono il giudice Giovanni Falcone, la moglie Francesca Morvillo e gli uomini di scorta. Negli anni scorsi la raccolta dell’origano è stata svolta da gruppi di volontari provenienti da ogni parte d’Italia, nell’ambito di settimane di impegno e formazione a fianco degli operatori della Fondazione. "Quella di quest’anno è stata la prima esperienza nei nostri campi svolta dagli scout di Mazara del Vallo – ha detto Puccio – Per noi questa raccolta ha soprattutto un valore civile, visto che il bene è confiscato alla mafia. Già, qualche mese addietro, nello stesso fondo abbiamo raccolto le olive per produrre l’olio che abbiamo destinato alle mense fraterne".
