È stata questa una delle risposte date durante il convegno promosso dalla Rete delle Professioni Tecniche della provincia di Agrigento che si è svolto al teatro Pirandello di Agrigento. Sedici miliardi di euro del PNRR sono stati destinati proprio alla Sicilia, ma bisogna farsi trovare pronti per spenderli entro il 2026. I professionisti hanno voluto accendere i riflettori sulla Sicilia centromeridionale, facendo notare le necessità di un territorio in gravi difficoltà nei collegamenti con gli aeroporti e con una mobilità interna che sconta un livello di sottosviluppo. Ai lavori hanno partecipato anche il ministro Cancelleri e l'assessore regionale Falcone. La lista degli interventi programmati nell'Agrigentino purtroppo non è molto lunga, aldilà degli impegni annunciati, dal progetto di fattibilità dell'autostrada Castelvetrano-Gela al completamento dell'anello ferroviario Agrigento - Palermo. E gli ordini professionali confermano la loro preoccupazione per il futuro.
