A definire drammatica la situazione dei pronto soccorso degli ospedali agrigentini è il Commissario dell’ASP Mario Zappia. Carenza di personale, soprattutto di medici, e conseguenti problemi organizzativi si registrano in tutti i pronto soccorso degli ospedali della provincia. La situazione a Sciacca viene denunciata da tempo, eppure il Commissario Zappia pone il Giovanni Paolo II tra gli ospedali messi “un po’ meglio”. La situazione più preoccupante riguarda il San Giovanni di Dio di Agrigento. Si sta dirottando sulle aree di emergenza urgenza tutto il personale disponibile, infermieri e ausiliari, ma molto più difficile da risolvere è la carenza di medici in servizio. Come era già successo nei mesi scorsi, viene chiesto ai medici di altri reparti di garantire qualche turno in pronto soccorso.
Si fa quel che si può. Questo sembra emergere dall’intervento del responsabile dell’Azienda Sanitaria Provinciale. Ma non sono solo i pronto soccorso. A soffrire sono anche altri reparti come si è visto nelle scorse settimane per l’ortopedia e l’urologia di Sciacca. Medici cercasi, sembra essere diventato il tormentone dopo due anni di Covid che ha monopolizzato l’assistenza sanitaria.
