promosso dal Ministero della Transizione Ecologica, hanno incontrato i Carabinieri del Raggruppamento per la Biodiversità di Reggio Calabria per ricevere in dono la talea della pianta di ficus riprodotta dall’albero del giudice Giovanni Falcone. Alla cerimonia di messa a dimora della piantina, accolti dal Dirigente Scolastico Emanuele Giordano e dall'insegnante Romina Dimartino, hanno partecipato il Sindaco Matteo Ruvolo, il Comandante della Tenenza di Ribera Vincenzo De Felice, il Presidente del Consiglio Comunale Vincenzo Costa e gli Assessori Giuseppe Sgrò e Leonardo Augello. L'obiettivo- ha dichiarato il Sindaco Ruvolo- è quello di sensibilizzare gli alunni alla cultura della legalità, dell’impegno sociale, ma anche all’importanza della tutela ambientale, per rendere i ragazzi sempre più consapevoli della funzione che hanno gli alberi nel contrasto ai cambiamenti climatici. Il progetto, che già l’anno scorso ha visto protagonisti gli istituti scolastici Riberesi in occasione del trentennale delle celebrazioni in memoria delle stragi di Capaci e di via D’Amelio, permette alla nostra Città- continua Ruvolo- di entrare a far parte del circuito del “bosco diffuso” promosso dal Ministero della Transizione Ecologica in collaborazione con i Carabinieri per la Biodiversità, che ringraziamo per averci concesso di realizzare questa importante iniziativa.
