di parte dei 35 milioni di euro stanziati dal Pnrr per il superamento degli insediamenti abusivi di migranti, con la costruzione o la ristrutturazione di alloggi, la messa disposizione di servizi a partire dai trasporti. Tra gli altri territori che potranno sfruttare questi finanziamenti ci sono anche i comuni di Mazara del Vallo, Castelvetrano, Salemi, Petrosino, e zone del Catanese, del Ragusano e del Siracusano.
La Cgil e la Flai siciliane hanno chiesto alle prefetture competenti di convocare al più presto il Consiglio territoriale per l’immigrazione “per monitorare la situazione, evitando il rischio che queste risorse vadano perdute”.
“Rispristinare condizioni di accoglienza civile - scrivono in una nota Tonino Russo, segretario generale della Flai Sicilia e Francesco Lucchesi, segretario regionale Cgil- è un importante passo avanti di civiltà e per il contrasto allo sfruttamento del lavoro e al caporalato. I migranti dei centri abusivi sono lavoratrici e lavoratori- aggiungono- impegnati nei campi e in altre occupazioni, il più delle volte in condizioni di sottosalario, sfruttamento, soggezione. Mettere a disposizione alloggi e servizi dignitosi - sottolineano - è importante, anche se non è l’unica delle iniziative necessarie per dare valore ai diritti, all’accoglienza, al lavoro. Noi proseguiamo con la nostra iniziativa di denuncia, con la battaglia su obiettivi come quello del collocamento agricolo pubblico per la trasparenza e il contrasto al caporalato e quello di fondo dell’abolizione della legge Bossi- Fini”.
