e condannato l'uomo a sette anni di reclusione per violenza sessuale nei confronti di due minori. L'uomo attualmente si trova in carcere e in primo grado il Pubblico Ministero della Procura della Repubblica di Sciacca Carlo Boranga aveva chiesto la condanna a dodici anni e l'assoluzione per prostituzione minorile. Da quest'ultima accusa l'imputato è stato effettivamente assolto dai giudici della Corte d'Appello che lo hanno, invece, condannato per violenza sessuale a una pena inferiore rispetto a quella sollecitata dall'accusa. Una vicenda che ha visto coinvolti due minori che, sentiti al processo che si è celebrato a porte chiuse al Tribunale di Sciacca, avrebbero confermato quanto già riferito in precedenza. L'arresto dell'uomo scattò nell'ottobre del 2015 ad opera dei Carabinieri della Compagnia di Sciacca dopo circa un mese di indagini effettuate anche attraverso intercettazioni ambientali. I Militari dell'Arma lo avevano notato intrattenersi con un ragazzo di 12 anni all'interno di un esercizio pubblico e successivamente spostarsi insieme al giovane sulla sua autovettura. Al processo, Vito Mangiaracina si è sempre difeso sostenendo che i due minori frequentavano assiduamente la sua officina in quanto appassionati di motori e di non avere mai esercitato alcuna violenza su di loro.
