Sul fenomeno del randagismo torna all'attacco il Movimento 5 Stelle per il quale, dopo l'episodio di contrada Muciare che, oltre alla gravità del fatto in sé, ha causato anche un grave danno di immagine alla città, l'amministrazione comunale non ha fatto nulla per superare l'emergenza e continua a rimanere in silenzio e immobile. Ricorda, il Movimento 5 Stelle, l'incontro del 28 giugno scorso sul tema del randagismo durante il quale il Comune di Sciacca si era impegnato ad intervenire nell'immediato per raggiungere un primo e importante obiettivo, e cioè la sterilizzazione di circa 200 cani. Come è ormai consuetudine dell'amministrazione Valenti, si legge nel comunicato stampa, si tratta di impegni presi e mai rispettati. C'è una nota, osserva il Movimento 5 Stelle, inviata nel 2015 ai sindaci della provincia di Agrigento in cui si danno precise indicazioni ai Comuni: nei rifugi sanitari, come quelli di Sciacca e Santa Margherita Belice, i cani sterilizzati dopo un periodo di osservazione di 17 giorni, possono essere reimmessi sul territorio. Dunque, se il rifugio funzionasse per come dovrebbe, verrebbe assicurato il turnover e ci sarebbe sempre spazio per i cani da sterilizzare. Di conseguenza, per i pentastellati non è fondata la giustificazione dell'amministrazione quando dichiara che non può procedere con le sterilizzazioni perchè non ci sono spazi disponibili: lo spazio c'è e la legge pure. Insomma, per il Movimento 5 Stelle la giunta Valenti non fa nulla per superare o arginare il fenomeno del randagismo a Sciacca, e il Comune continua a pagare ogni anno circa 300 mila euro ai canili per non risolvere il problema. Qual è l'interesse dietro a tutto questo, qual è la strategia dell'amministrazione e perchè, pur avendo gli strumenti, non si agisce, domandano i 5 Stelle accusando il sindaco di continuare piuttosto ad interrogarsi, dopo più di un anno di amministrazione, sulla composizione della sua giunta.
