Non è un annuncio, ma l'ultima delle emergenze che si trova ad affrontare l'amministrazione comunale di Sciacca a pochi giorni dall'inizio dell'anno scolastico 2018-2019, la cui data ancora non è stata ufficializzata , ma dovrebbe compresa tra il 7 e il 12 settembre, a seconda delle decisioni che assumeranno le singole istituzioni scolastiche. Giorno più, giorno meno ci siamo, comunque, ma per docenti, alunni e famiglie dei bambini che frequentano il plesso di via Catusi si pone il problema dell'indisponibilità dell'edificio interessato dallo scorso mese di giugno dai lavori di manutenzione e ristrutturazione nell'ambito del famoso finanziamento di 800 mila euro che si è rischiato di perdere per intoppi e cavilli burocratici che non è il caso di ricostruire, ma che hanno bloccato per anni l'intervento. Lavori che riguardano la messa in sicurezza e l'adeguamento degli impianti che si sperava potessero concludersi in tempo per l'avvio del nuovo anno scolastico. Questo era stato l'auspicio dell'amministrazione comunale tre mesi fa. Una certa dose di ottimismo è apprezzabile, ma non quando si tratta di appalti e tempi di realizzazione di interventi in edifici pubblici. Del resto, per contratto, la ditta ha ancora parecchio tempo a disposizione. Un piano “B” come avevamo sottolineato già a giugno era necessario predisporlo e invece si è arrivati a fine agosto a dover prendere atto dell'indisponibilità dell'edificio e correre ai ripari, in notevole ritardo. Giusto ieri la giunta Valenti ha incontrato i dirigenti scolastlci della città per verificare la disponibilità di aule per sopperire all'emergenza di via Catusi. Riunione alla quale, questa mattina, ha fatto seguito un sopralluogo in alcune scuole della città. Dove collocare le classi? Questo il dilemma di non facile soluzione e con disagi comunque inevitabili legati alla circostanza che nessuna scuola è in grado di accogliere tutte le classi di via Catusi. Ammesso che arrivino le disponibilità dei dirigenti, appare chiaro che si arriverà comunque ad una divisione delle classi e una loro collocazione in non si sa bene quanti edifici. L'amministrazione non sembra orientata, invece, ad utilizzare, come successo in passato, locali di privati. E' il caso dell'immobile di via Valverde utilizzato negli anni per tamponare le varie emergenze scolastiche.Intanto la mancata individuazione della soluzione al problema dell'indisponibilità momentanea della struttura di via Catusi sta generando apprensione nelle famiglie dei bambini neo iscritti in quella scuola o che già la frequentano. Ed è normale a due settimane dall'inizio dell'anno scolastico. Magari meno ottimismo e più realismo avrebbero portato ad individuare per tempo locali alternativi.
