Così il Ministro dell' Istruzione Marco Bussetti in visita ad Agrigento ha parlato ai dirigenti scolastici e ai vertici del mondo della scuola agrigentina che si sono dati appuntamento al Palacongressi della Città dei Templi. Dopo la visita a Palermo il ministro Bussetti, ha voluto visitare la città di Agrigento per lanciare il suo monito contro la dispersione scolastica e illustrare le nuove azioni del Miur. È stata anche attenzionata la situazione dell'edilizia scolastica. Le condizioni degli istituti della provincia, ha detto Bussetti, ci portano ad una precisa attenzione, portiamo sulle spalle una eredità molto pesante, ma non vogliamo perdere tempo.Presente all'incontro anche l'assessore regionale all'istruzione Roberto La Galla. La visita del ministro si è spostata poi alla Valle dei Templi per un concerto dell' Orchestra Erasmus. Grazie all'invito rivolto a tutti i dirigenti scolastici, anche l'istituto alberghiero di Sciacca era presente con una rappresentanza di insegnanti e studenti per dare il proprio benvenuto al ministro. Insieme agli indirizzi alberghieri del Nicolò Gallo di Agrigento e Giuseppe Ambrosini di Favara, i ragazzi dell'Amato Vetrano, hanno curato il servizio del convivio con un buffet di specialità agroalimentari del territorio: dalla pizza saccense, prodotta con farine di grani antichi e le focacce mediterranee preparate dagli studenti e dai docenti, alla buvette e alla piccola pasticceria, alle composizioni di frutta fresca di stagione. Una buona riuscita tra i tre istituti alberghieri della provincia insieme per non competere ma per produrre un unico successo.
