Sono ancora evidenti i danni causati dalla pioggia degli ultimi giorni, e nessun intervento è stato effettuato per riportare la situazione alla normalità. I tratti interessati dai cedimenti continuano a rimanere transennati e c'è il timore assai diffuso che tutto possa rimanere così chissà ancora per quanto tempo. Una delle situazioni più critiche è indubbiamente quella che interessa la via Tumolieri, centralissima arteria che collega la via Giuseppe Licata al quartiere di San Michele. Da lunedì scorso è impraticabile e chiusa al transito veicolare. La pioggia ha causato dei danni al manto stradale nel tratto all'altezza di un tombino. Di conseguenza, c'è non soltanto l'asfalto completamente dissestato ma anche una copiosa perdita idrica che impediscono alle auto di potere circolare. Non a caso, l'arteria è interdetta al transito proprio all'altezza dell'incrocio con la via Licata. Disagi enormi per i residenti, molti dei quali sono anziani. Ci aspettavamo un intervento urgente da parte del Comune e invece non è stato effettuato nulla e siamo completamente isolati, hanno riferito questa mattina alcuni residenti alla nostra redazione. Non va meglio lungo la via Lido, arteria che puntualmente, ad ogni acquazzone, si trasforma in una strada piena di fango e detriti. Anche qui, nessun intervento è stato effettuato a parte la collocazione di transenne per impedire il transito nei tratti ancora stracolmi di fango che non è stato rimosso. Analoga situazione nella sottostante via Ferdinandea, altra arteria che puntualmente viene messa a dura prova a seguito di abbondanti precipitazioni. Le piogge, infatti, non fanno altro che peggiorare una situazione, quella del manto stradale, già di per sé critica. Tra innumerevoli buche, cedimenti del manto stradale e perdite idriche, anche in via Ferdinandea i residenti praticamente non possono raggiungere le proprie abitazioni. Insomma, situazioni assai critiche alle quali andrebbe posto rimedio non soltanto attraverso la semplice collocazione di transenne. Oggi la vicenda riguardante la manutenzione della viabilità cittadina a seguito di precipitazioni è al centro di una interrogazione presentata all'amministrazione dal consigliere comunale di opposizione Salvatore Monte il quale chiede, in particolare, se sono stati attivati i servizi di protezione civile finalizzati alla messa in sicurezza del territorio. La segnaletica, riferisce l'ex assessore, non riesce a garantire la sicurezza e la percorribilità delle zone interessate dalla forte pioggia caduta giorni fa sulla città di Sciacca. Occorre mettere in sicurezza il territorio in tempi brevi, conclude Salvatore Monte, evitando rischi per la pubblica incolumità.
