La vicenda è al centro di una interrogazione presentata all'amministrazione dai consiglieri di opposizione Calogero Bono e Giuseppe Milioti. Si tratta di una infrastruttura portuale, in totale venti colonnine, completata durante la precedente consiliatura dopo tante difficoltà che hanno riguardato la fase della esecuzione dei lavori. Una volta completata l'opera, l'erogazione dell'acqua e dell'energia elettrica avveniva una volta la settimana sia per fornire le utenze sia per tenere in funzione l'impianto. Da diversi mesi, invece, l'impianto non è più in funzione e questo sta creando enormi difficoltà all'utenza che, riferiscono i due consiglieri di “Progetto Sciacca”, in queste settimane ha protestato e richiesto l'attivazione del servizio. Eppure, risale ad aprile del 2017, significa ad oltre un anno e mezzo fa, la consegna al Comune di Sciacca delle smart card per la definitiva messa in funzione dell'impianto attraverso l'erogazione del servizio a pagamento da parte degli utenti. Per Bono e Milioti, che chiedono di conoscere le ragioni del mancato funzionamento delle colonnine e della mancata regolare attivazione del servizio attraverso la distribuzione delle smart card agli utenti, si tratta della ennesima inefficienza dell'amministrazione comunale nei confronti del settore della pesca.
