È questa la stima fatta da Alessandro Curreri, consigliere comunale pentastellato. Non è la prima volta che Curreri parla di importanza del cosiddetto “Turismo nuziale”. Una delle ragioni può scaturire dal fatto che, essendo stato più volte chiamato ad indossare la fascia tricolore per celebrare, nella veste di pubblico ufficiale, cerimonie civili in ambiti pubblici, come il chiostro del collegio dei Gesuiti, sede municipale, ha toccato con mano le potenzialità legate ai luoghi scelti per sposarsi. E così Curreri ha elaborato così una proposta di delibera denominata “Matrimoni fuori dal Comune”. Lo ha fatto sulla base di quella che definisce emigrazione senza precedenti di tanta manodopera formata e specializzata nel settore alberghiero e ricettivo. Tanti giovani che lasciano Sciacca in cerca di lavoro e che troppo spesso difficilmente riescono a tornare. È necessario promuovere il territorio, superando le difficoltà tecniche opposte alle diverse richieste di turisti che purtroppo non sono state accettate. Bisogna superare queste difficoltà tecniche. Si stima che per ogni matrimonio L'obiettivo finale è quello di celebrare matrimoni fuori dalla Casa Comunale, in prestigiose locations quali la Chiesa della Raccomandata, il Castello Luna, Piazza Angelo Scandaliato, nonchè scenari incantevoli come le nostre spiagge. La Democrazia Partecipata potrebbero infine servire a creare un fondo/premio per incentivare la nascita di imprenditoria giovanile attraverso un concorso di idee. Un gruppo di giovani formati può avere una idea di aprire una società turistica o innovativa, come ad esempio una ditta di Catering. Per Curreri occorre un piccolo contributo, un piccolissimo intervento per cercare di frenare l’emigrazione dei nostri cittadini, nell'esclusivo interesse di fare il bene per la nostra città.
