sindaco e maggioranza consiliare di Ribera hanno deciso di spalancare di fatto le porte alla nascita in città di vere e proprie discariche in cui potranno essere conferiti non solo rifiuti locali ma ache spazzatura proveniente dai Comuni vicini. E' così che il consigliere di opposizione Benedetto Vassallo commenta la recente approvazione, da parte del Consiglio Comunale, del regolamento comunale per la pratica del compostaggio. Nulla da eccepire, per il consigliere Vassallo, sulla parte del regolamento che, prevedendo il compostaggio domestico, offre ai cittadini la possibilità di raccogliere i rifiuti familiari in appositi contenitori beneficiando di uno sconto sulla Tari. Sono piuttosto le ulteriori due metodologie contemplate nel regolamento, e cioè il compostaggio locale e quello di comunità che, a giudizio del consigliere di opposizione, destano notevole preoccupazione. Per Vassallo è un regolamento che va modificato e corretto se non si vuole trasformare Ribera in un immondezzaio “legale” a cielo aperto.
