È il nuovo evento di “Diamo voce ai libri”, ciclo di incontri promossi dal Comune di Sciacca, Assessorato alla Cultura. Si svolgerà alle ore 16,00 nella Sala Blasco del Palazzo Municipale. Sarà un momento di incontro, di ascolto, di riflessione e di espressione creativa, evidenziano il sindaco Valenti e l'assessore Mondino.
Il reading, con brani tratti da opere di autori vari, sarà curato dagli studenti degli Istituti “Calogero Amato Vetrano”, “Don Michele Arena”, “Tommaso Fazello” e del Liceo Scientifico Statale “Enrico Fermi”. L’estemporanea di pittura sarà realizzata dagli alunni del liceo artistico “Bonachia”.
Al reading seguirà la pièce teatrale dal titolo “Il rosso si indossa non si versa” che vedrà come attrici le socie dell’Associazione Italiana Giovani Avvocati-sezione di Agrigento e della Fidapa – B.P.W. Italy - sezione di Porto Empedocle-Realmonte.
Ci sarà anche un momento informativo curato dal presidente dello Sportello Antiviolenza “Fenice”, operativo presso la Procura della Repubblica di Sciacca, Danielle Mancuso; mentre l’Ufficio “Affari Sociali” del Comune di Sciacca darà testimonianza sulle varie azioni messe in campo a favore delle donne che subiscono violenza e che trovano il coraggio di denunciare.
E sul tema, sabato 24 alle 19 alla sala degli specchi della Badia Grande, prevista un'altra iniziativa a cura della Fidapa di Sciacca dal titolo “AscoltaLe”, racconti di ieri e di oggi di donne violate, diretti da Maria Grazia Catania. In esposizione, opere di Simona Maniscalco e Giacomo Marciante.
