Lo strumento di programmazione econonomico – finanziaria, approvato in giunta lo scorso 20 maggio, è passato con i voti favorevoli della maggioranza mentre l'opposizione ha votato contro. Per la minoranza, quello licenziato ieri altro non è che un bilancio che aumenta le tasse a carico dei cittadini, a cominciare dalla Tari, a fronte di un aumento dei costi del servizio rifiuti di circa 365 mila euro. Opposizione che ha poi ritenuto insufficienti i capitoli di spesa destinati alle feste e tradizioni locali ed evidenziato come nessuna nuova iniziativa o proposta nell'ambito dei servizi in favore del turismo, rispetto al passato, sia stata calata nello strumento di programmazione nonostante il recente aumento dell'imposta di soggiorno. Critiche, infine, anche sulla recente edizione di Inycon. Anche quest'anno, così come avvenuto nel 2018, e' stata solo un'anteprima, una manifestazione senza idea e senza anima, hanno detto dai banchi dell'opposizione. Per il sindaco Marilena Mauceri, invece, l'avvenuta approvazione del bilancio 2019 è un risultato straordinario che colloca Menfi tra quei pochissimi Comuni che possono contare sullo strumento di programmazione. Abbiamo mantenuto l'impegno assunto alla fine dello scorso anno quando avevamo dichiarato che avremmo lavorato all'approvazione del bilancio 2019 seguendo una tempistica ben diversa, dichiara il primo cittadino. Un bilancio che soddisfa l'amministrazione posto che permetterà all'ente di operare con una programmazione, di garantire i servizi fondamentali ai cittadini e di fare investimenti. In ordine ai costi del servizio rifiuti, obiettivo dell'amministrazione comunale è quello di procedere, attraverso un mutuo, all'acquisto dei mezzi e di tutto l'occorrente per la pulizia della città mentre riguardo all'imposta di soggiorno, è chiaro che gli introiti derivanti dal recente aumento dell'imposta saranno destinati a tutto ciò che può migliorare la fruizione del territorio da parte dei turisti, conclude il sindaco di Menfi.
