Le temperature non elevate che hanno caratterizzato tutta la primavera non hanno aiutato e così già nei mesi scorsi si era deciso di anticipare di qualche giorno. rispetto alla data originariamente prevista, la stagione dei saldi estivi che si concluderà il 15 settembre. Il decreto era stato emesso dall’assessore regionale alle Attività produttive, Mimmo Turano, su richiesta delle principali organizzazioni del commercio. Richiesta che era stata accolta non solo nell’ottica di incrementare le vendite, ma anche per stoppare il fenomeno degli sconti sottobanco che, alla fine, penalizza quanti si attengono alle regole. E’
una storia che si è ripetuta anche nelle ultime settimane, con molti commercianti che pur di vendere hanno iniziato a praticare anche sconti del 20-30 % seppure non ufficialmente. Non a caso, molti esercenti da oggi inizieranno ufficialmente la stagione dei saldi con sconti già al 50%.
La decisione di anticipare all’1 luglio, rispetto a sabato 6 luglio, è stata legata anche all’esigenza di intercettare il flusso di ‘turisti dello shopping, ossia di offrire questa opportunità a quanti sono già in vacanza nell’isola, ma scaturisce anche da un trend negativo che, nella stagione dei saldi invernali, ha fatto segnare un calo del 14% delle vendite nel settore abbigliamento e del 18% nelle calzature.
E’ il classico esempio di cane che si morde la coda. La stagione dei saldi non va bene come succedeva anni fa perché adesso ci sono tante altre opportunità per il consumatore, dagli acquisti online che hanno dato una batosta non indifferente, alle tante promozioni e offerte speciali che gli stessi commercianti mettono in atto prima dell’avvio della stagione degli sconti.
