Verifiche a tappeto che, com’era ovvio, hanno portato a diversi provvedimenti per il mancato rispetto dela codice della strada.
Tra gli episodi eclatanti riscontrati il fine settimana da poco trascorso, tre automobilisti sono stati beccati a sfrecciare a 177 km orari, superando il limite consentito di ben oltre 40 kmh. Ai tre la patente è stata ritirata.
Altri due conducenti, invece, sono stati deferiti alla locale procura della Repubblica: un 27enne, residente a Canicattì, poichè alla guida in stato di ebbrezza alcolica e senza aver mai conseguito la patente, fermato, oltretutto, dopo una fuga e relativo inseguimento.
Un 19enne, residente a Agrigento, ha, invece, rifiutato di sottoporsi ad accertamenti finalizzati alla verifica di assunzione di sostanze stupefacenti, anche lui sanzionato per guida senza patente, mai conseguita.
Inoltre, in occasione dei servizi effettuati, sono state accertate ben 11 contravvenzioni per superamento dei limiti di velocità e decurtati, in totale, 42 punti dalla patente.
I controlli rientrano nel potenziamento dei servizi di vigilanza stradale per il contrasto, in particolare, alle violazioni ai limiti di velocità, tra le principali cause di incidenti stradali, effettuati dalla Sezione Polizia di Agrigento durante lo scorso fine settimana lungo la ss640, utilizzando il nuovo Telelaser TRUCAM, di ultima generazione, dotato di videocamera, in grado di generare brevi video, come prova a supporto delle infrazioni accertate.
Per tutta l’estate le verifiche sul territorio continueranno ad opera dei Reparti della Polizia Stradale, ad essere capillari sulle arterie della Provincia di Agrigento.
