Una ragazzina di 13 anni che era in compagnia della mamma, all’ottavo mese di gravidanza, è stata aggredita da due cani randagi. E’ stata azzannata alle gambe, alle braccia e ad una mano, nonostante le urla e il tentativo di mettere in fuga i due cani da parte della madre. Momenti di terrore per madre e figlia prima che i due cani venissero allontanati e poi il ricorso alle cure dei sanitari del pronto soccorso dell’ospedale di Sciacca per medicare le ferite della ragazzina e assistere madre e figlia chiaramente sconvolte per quanto era successo.
La questione randagismo, sempre in primo piano in città, anima oggi anche il dibattito politico con il consigliere Teresa Bilello del M5S che questa mattina ha attaccato la giunta Valenti sostenendo che continua a perdersi in chiacchiere anziché risolvere il problema, avendo gli strumenti a disposizione. Il riferimento è alla campagna straordinaria di sterilizzazione degli animali presenti sul territorio che avrebbe dovuto essere effettuata. E invece, sostengono i pentastellati, risultano effettuate soltanto 33 sterilizzazioni da gennaio a maggio a fronte di oltre 350 cani liberi di circolare e di riprodursi.
Dalla giunta Valenti e dal parlamentare di riferimento, l’on. Catanzaro, solo chiacchiere e convegni, sostiene Teresa Bilello
che poi ricorda già dopo i dopo i tragici episodi di Muciare, l’Assessorato regionale alla Salute aveva assegnato alla provincia di Agrigento 174.830 euro per procedere a un piano straordinario di sterilizzazioni. Fondi che si rischia di perdere, aggiunge l’esponente del Movimento 5 Stelle per l’immobilismo dell’amministrazione comunale di Sciacca.
Già il 29 gennaio l’Asp di Agrigento aveva fatto presente che aveva la disponibilità economica per potenziare l’attività di sterilizzazione di cani randagi; la stessa azienda aveva proposto, inoltre, una conferenza dei servizi con i Sindaci per esaminare eventuali strategie e interventi da attuare per arginare il fenomeno del randagismo. Il 28 maggio l’Asp, ha continuato a sollecitare i Sindaci, tra cui quello di Sciacca, per attuare un piano straordinario di sterilizzazioni e il 19 giugno aveva proposto al comune di Sciacca un piano particolareggiato e dettagliato di prevenzione e d’intervento sul randagismo. Soluzioni servite al sindaco Valenti su di un piatto d’argento, eppure non accolte e attuate, sostiene infine Teresa Bilello. Anche i colleghi di centrodestra oggi attaccano il sindaco accusandola di avere soltanto all’attivo una delibera dichiarata illegittima e mai revocata a fronte, aggiungono, di continui episodi di aggressione. Anche il centrodestra addebita all’amministrazione la responsabilità di non avere attuato una capillare campagna di sterilizzazione per evitare il proliferare di randagi. Quante altre persone aggredite devono finire in ospedale, aggiungono, prima che il sindaco si renda conto che bisogna passare dalle parole ai fatti. Quello del randagismo, concludono i consiglieri di centrodestra è uno dei tanti temi per i quali emerge l’incapacità amministrativa della giunta Valenti.
