Ieri la conferenza dei capigruppo ha stabilito che la seduta consiliare straordinaria ed aperta, sulla questione acqua, si svolgerà mercoledì 31 luglio alle ore 20. Oltre ai consiglieri e all’amministrazione, la seduta è aperta a comitati che da tempo si occupano della questione della futura gestione pubblica dell’acqua, comitati e cittadini. Un dibattito fondamentale per il centrodestra che ne aveva fatto richiesta nella fase cruciale della scelta societaria che l’assemblea dei sindaci dell’agrigentino è chiamata a compiere. Il direttivo dell’Ati, presieduto dal sindaco di Sciacca, nelle scorse settimane si era pronunciato sulla Spa, rispetto all’Azienda Speciale Consortile anche se, giusto negli ultimi giorni , Francesca Valenti ha rimarcato come la decisione finale spetti all’assemblea dei sindaci e, dunque, ancora non vi sia alcuna scelta definitiva. Precisazione effettuata a fronte delle contestazioni da parte di associazioni e comitati che da sempre hanno puntato sull’Azienda Speciale Consortile sottolineando i rischi di una società per azione, pure a capitale totalmente pubblico. Non mette al riparo da future cessioni di quote societarie e di conseguenza, asseriscono, da possibili privatizzazioni. Dopo l’esperienza Girgenti Acque sostengono che la gestione dell’acqua in provincia deve essere pubblica e attraverso una azienda consortile.
La seduta consiliare aperta di mercoledì prossimo servirà ad approfondire gli aspetti relativi ai due modelli gestionali per i quali sono state elaborate per conto dell’Ati le due bozze di statuto.
La novità delle ultime ore è che il centro studi De Gasperi, presieduto da Stefano Scaduto dopo avere sollecitato la possibilità di dibattere la questione acqua in consiglio comunale ha anche chiesto che venga garantita la diretta televisiva della seduta. Su un tema così importante, sostiene Scaduto, tutti i cittadini devono avere la possibilità di seguire il dibattito e le decisioni che eventualmente saranno assunto, come era già successo in occasione del piano Aro.
