Il programma è stato illustrato stamattina sia da Caracappa, sia da Gisella Mondino, nella qualità di vice sindaco oltre che di assessore alla Cultura. Una serie di eventi che spazieranno dalla musica al teatro, recuperando tre spazi off limits per anni: dall'atrio inferiore alla cavea delle Terme, con alcuni eventi che si svolgeranno anche nel giardino del Museo del Carnevale.E l'assessore ha precisato di non avere volutamente inserito nel programma ufficiale le iniziative dei privati, allo scopo probabilmente di non volere dare l'idea di intendere appropriarsene. Si comincia stasera con il primo dei quattro concerti del Festival di musica classica dal ti tolo ONDE SONORE, con un concerto per pianoforte di Irene Veneziano dalle 21,30 all'atrio superiore del comune. Va segnalato che alle 19, su iniziativa dell'associazione Museo del Mare di Sciacca, si svolgerà nella chiesa delle Giummare un concerto dal titolo “Cataldo Amodei, cantate Amorose a voce sola” con al clavicembalo Ignazio Schifani, vice direttore del Conservatorio Musicale di Palermo, e alla voce Lia Battaglia, soprano barocco. Il programma è stato concertato con il commissariato per tutte le autorizzazioni necessarie di pubblica sicurezza, per non incorrere in problemi. Fondamentale sarà l'apporto all'Estate saccense di Azzurro Food, a cui il comune di Sciacca partecipa con un contributo economico di 13 mila euro che consentirà di supportare il concerto di Carmen Consoli (con un costo massimo del biglietto per il posto a sedere di 27 euro) e di avere non a pagamento il concerto della giovane artista Elodie. E ancora: il 13 agosto ci saranno i Modena City Ramblers.
