Attivata solamente il 12 luglio scorso e limitata fino al 31 luglio solamente al fine settimana, ossia da venerdì a domenica, ha comunque già generato la protesta dei commercianti di quel tratto di corso Vittorio Emanuele che è rimasto escluso dal provvedimento di interdizione al transito veicolare. Parliamo della zona che va dall’incrocio con via Incisa all’incrocio con via Pietro Gerardi, arteria anche questa assieme a via Conzo aperta al traffico. Il transito di auto e scooter ovviamente impedisce alle attività di ristorazione, soprattutto, di collocare come avviene ogni estate, tavoli e sedie all’aperto. Si tratta di locali che solitamente nel periodo estivo usufruiscono di questo ulteriore spazio , pagando il suolo pubblico, offrendo ai clienti la possibilità di cenare all’aperto. Tavoli e sedie che quest’anno sono rimasti negli sgabuzzini e commercianti che lamentano un danno economico non indifferente. E’ chiaro che pochi clienti scelgono in piena estate di rintanarsi all’interno di un locale, seppure dotato di impianto di climatizzazione.
L’esclusione di questo tratto dalla Ztl è legata alla concomitante chiusura, seppure ormai da diversi mesi, di via Eleonora D’Aragona. Le auto provenienti da piazza Carmine non hanno la possibilità di percorrere quell’arteria e, quindi, per non penalizzare la viabilità esterna alla zona della Ztl, è stato consentire di svoltare verso Corso Vittorio Emanuele, la via Pietro Gerardi e piazza Marconi.
Ragioni che non si conciliano con le esigenze di quei locali che si sentono penalizzati dalla mancata chiusura al traffico nelle ore serali e dalla conseguente impossibilità q uest’anno di collocare tavoli e sedie all’aperto. Commercianti di categoria B, così si definiscono in relazione alla problematica che si è venuta a generare dopo anni in cui avevano avuto l’opportunità nella stagione estiva di usufruire di questo spazio all’esterno. Chiaramente lamentano un danno economico non indifferente e sono arrabbiati anche se ancora sperano che l’amministrazione, pur nella difficoltà legata all’interdizione di via Eleonora D’Aragona, trovi una soluzione per estendere la Ztl anche a questro tratto rimasto escluso.
Soluzione che pare sia stata pure prospettata, ma che non ha trovato fino ad ora riscontro. Da qui anche la delusione. Saremo anche poche attività ad avere il problema ma abbiamo diritto di lavorare come gli altri, asseriscono.
