È quanto si raccomanda agli automobilisti a seguito dell’avvio della fase di ultimazione dei lavori per la riqualificazione e messa in sicurezza del ponte che sono iniziati nel dicembre del 2016. Siamo a quasi tre anni dall’avvio dell’intervento e, seppure i lavori siano stati realizzati consentendo la viabilità sul ponte, con l’ausilio di un semaforo, i disagi comunque ci sono stati e pure gli incidenti mortali . Siamo finalmente alla conclusione dell’intervento di riqualificazione e messa in sicurezza del viadotto Belice, ma arrivano proprio in questo periodo nuove limitazioni dall’Anas. Sono contenute in una ordinanza del capo compartimentale dell’Anas Sicilia, Nicola Montesano che è stata trasmessa anche al sindaco di Sciacca Francesca Valenti.
Il provvedimento istituisce il limite massimo di velocità di 40 chilometri orari e il divieto di sorpasso, fino al 30 settembre. Il viadotto Belice è stato oggetto – si legge nell’ordinanza – di “lavori per la riqualificazione delle opere di sicurezza, compreso il rifacimento dei cordoli, sostituzione dei giunti di dilatazione e ripristino della pavimentazione stradale”. L’impresa aggiudicataria delle opere ha chiesto a inizio agosto l’emissione di un provvedimento con delle limitazioni al traffico veicolare perché occorre ultimare l’istallazione delle parti terminali delle barrire bordo laterale. Saranno predisposti anche accurati controlli per fare in modo che il limite di velocità a 40 km orari e il divieto di sorpasso venga rispettato dagli automobilisti in transito. Negli ultimi mesi, proprio a fronte di ripetuti incidenti, sono state elevate parecchie multe a quanti, soprattutto nelle ore serali e notturne, non hanno rispettato il semaforo che disciplina la viabilità a senso unico alternato, nel tratto in cui gli operai sono al lavoro.
