Un inizio di agosto con il botto a Sciacca sul fronte rifiuti per l’ennesimo blocco dell’impianto di compostaggio di contrada Santa Maria che ha fatto saltare il turno di sabato scorso. Ed è finita anche bene perché le previsioni non erano affatto rosee e c’è stato il rischio concreto che potesse saltare anche il turno di oggi. Siamo riusciti ad evitarlo vigilando e interessando i competenti organi regionali, hanno precisato ieri il sindaco Valenti e l’assessore Brunetto su facebook, ringraziando pubblicamente l’assessore regionale Pierobon, ma generando una polemica sui social con il responsabile di Sogeir Impianti, l’ingegnere Giovanni Indelicato che evidentemente non ha gradito richiamando a sua volta alle proprie responsabilità i sindaci in ritardo nei pagamenti. Poteva finire lì? Assolutamente no e, infatti, è stato l’assessore Brunetto in questo botta a risposta social a precisare che il comune di Sciacca proprio il 2 agosto aveva effettuato l’ultimo pagamento e per fatture non certamente datate. L’ingegnere Indelicato è stato persino invitato alle dimissioni, sempre con un post su facebook. Un botta e risposta che probabilmente poco appassiona i cittadini che sabato hanno dovuto tenere in casa il sacchetto dell’umido e che in questi giorni si stanno vedendo recapitare le bollette Tari per un servizio che spesso registra questi black out. Peraltro non è certo facebook il mezzo per chiarire chi e quando ha sbagliato e di chi sono le responsabilità. La Sogeir è una società partecipata e i sindaci dei comuni che ne fanno parte hanno il diritto-dovere, in assemblea, di verificare ed eventualmente contestare l’operato dei dirigenti da loro nominati.
Polemiche a parte, il problema dell’impianto di contrada Santa Maria che ha una capacità evidentemente limitata e comunque inferiore alle esigenze dei comuni è noto da mesi. Infatti all’assessore regionale è stato chiesto di intervenire autorizzando il conferimento dell’umido in altri centri qualora di dovesse rendere necessario, soprattutto in questo mese, quando non ci si può permettere di saltare turni di ritiro di questa tipologia di rifiuto viste le alte temperature e l’aumento della spazzatura in una città turistica.
Problematica che il sindaco Valenti ha affrontato questa mattina con il prefetto di Agrigento Dario Caputo. Non è solo Sciacca ad avere il problema, anche a Menfi la frazione umida non è stata ritirata sabato tanto da portare i consiglieri di opposizione, del gruppo Idea Menfi, a chiedere una riduzione della Tari per i cittadini a fronte di un servizio, scrivono, che di fatto viene garantito solo 5 giorni a settimana. Proposta protocollata questa mattina come ordine del giorno da inserire nella prossima seduta del Consiglio Comunale.
