ogni decisione sarà rimandata al 31 dicembre del 2020 e da qui alla fine del prossimo anno l'Area di Emergenza continuerà a mantenere gli attuali standard. Sono questi gli impegni assunti ieri dall'assessore regionale alla salute Ruggero Razza durante l'incontro con il sindaco Carmelo Pace e altri sindaci e consiglieri dei Comuni del territorio che fa riferimento al Fratelli Parlapiano. Un incontro convocato dall'esponente del governo regionale, cui hanno preso parte anche i parlamentari della provincia, per fare il punto della situazione complessiva dell'ospedale di Ribera alla luce della nuova riorganizzazione della rete ospedaliera e delle preoccupazioni che questa ha generato nelle ultime settimane soprattutto in relazione al destino del Pronto Soccorso del Fratelli Parlapiano per il quale è stata prevista la chiusura nel prossimo mese di dicembre, con tutto ciò che questo comporta in termini di assistenza sanitaria ma anche per la sopravvivenza stessa di tutta la struttura ospedaliera. L'assessore Razza ha dunque bloccato per 14 mesi ogni ipotesi di chiusura o declassamento del Pronto Soccorso che pertanto continuerà ad operare mantenendo gli attuali standard. Ogni decisione sul futuro del Pronto Soccorso è stata rimandata al 31 dicembre 2020 e, in ogni caso, sarà assunta in comune accordo con i sindaci del comprensorio e i parlamentari agrigentini per assicurare un'Area di Emergenza adeguata alle esigenze del territorio. Razza ha concluso assicurando che il Fratelli Parlapiano non solo verrà mantenuto ma verrà anche potenziato con nuovi servizi. L'amministrazione comunale di Ribera, dal canto suo, alla luce delle conclusioni del vertice con l'assessore regionale, annuncia che continuerà a vigilare periodicamente su tutta la situazione sanitaria.
