Senza questi piani la gestione non può andare a regime, non possono essere effettuati gli investimenti per migliorare la rete e dal 1 gennaio 2021 la Sicilia non potrà più neanche attingere ai fondi per il periodo 2021-2027. Da qui la necessità di un intervento urgente per anticipare le somme necessarie.
La giunta regionale, presieduta da Nello Musumeci, ha approvato la proposta dell’assessore regionale all’Energia e servizi di pubblica utilità, Alberto Pierobon, finalizzata a “scongiurare la perdita di risorse finanziarie e garantire la realizzazione degli interventi a tutela dell’ambiente e della risorsa idrica, agevolando la predisposizione o l’aggiornamento dei Piani nei 9 ambiti siciliani”.
Ad oggi, si legge nella delibera, “dopo gli interventi del governo, sebbene i sindaci componenti delle Ati abbiano, in taluni casi, approvato le proposte finanziarie per il reperimento delle somme necessarie alla redazione dei Piani, gli stessi non hanno poi provveduto al trasferimento delle somme di competenza delle stesse Ati”. L’assessore Pierobon spiega che si sta lavorando per mettere in condizione le Ati di entrare finalmente in funzione. Una risorsa economica importante , dunque, anche per l’Assemblea Territoriale Idrica di Agrigento che, rispetto ad altre realtà dell’isola è avanti, seppure si trova nella fase delicata della riorganizzazione del servizio dopo la gestione Girgenti Acque.
C’è da elaborare il piano d’ambito, c’è da definire la questione del personale e da far partire l’Azienda Speciale Consortile, superando l’attuale gestione commissariale .
