fondatore della Banca del cordone ombelicale di Sciacca, che questa mattina ha raccolto alla Sala Piraino dell’ospedale Giovanni Paolo II tanti amici e colleghi che hanno dato lustro al suo operato, alla sua vita. In prima fila, una commossa dottoressa Michela Gesù, sua stretta collaboratrice, ma sono stati tanti i relatori che hanno ricordato l’attività di Lillo Ciaccio, uomo caparbio che ne ha passate tante, che proprio per la Banca del Cordone ombelicale è stato anche indagato e sempre assolto. Al momento di incontro e ricordo, promosso dal Comune di Sciacca e dall’Asp di Agrigento, hanno preso la parola diverse personalità che hanno avuto modo di confrontarsi con Lillo Ciaccio, a partire dal medico Damiano Abate, primario emerito di medicina d’urgenza. Al dottor Lillo Ciaccio è stata dedicata, anche, una targa commemorativa posta all’interno dell’Unità Operativa di Medicina Trasfusionale del Giovanni Paolo II.
