Nessun licenziamento, viceversa la possibilità di proseguire l'attività lavorativa presso il Comune grazie ad una legge approvata in extremis negli ultimi giorni dell’anno dalla Regione Siciliana. Alla luce di questa importante novità, il comune di Ribera il 31 dicembre scorso ha poi deliberato, in base alla nuova normativa, la proroga dell'attività lavorativa a tempo determinato fino a 31 dicembre del 2021. Dunque, potranno continuare a lavorare per altri due anni e, allo stesso tempo, in questi due anni si spera che la Regione possa finalmente trovare una soluzione che consenta di procedere alla loro stabilizzazione. Il 2020 non poteva iniziare meglio per questi 45 lavoratori e per le loro famiglie che hanno vissuto le ultime settimane e gli ultimi giorni dell'anno con grande apprensione temendo davvero di essere licenziati e di perdere il lavoro dopo decenni di attività svolta nei vari settori all'interno del palazzo municipale. Già in occasione dell'approvazione del bilancio di previsione 2019 da parte del Consiglio Comunale, avvenuta a metà dicembre e che ha consentito di stabilizzare i 91 contrattisti, erano state inserite in un apposito capitolo le somme necessarie per avviare le procedure per la stabilizzazione di questi ex lavoratori socialmente utili, in pratica quelle che saranno a carico del Comune ma in attesa chiaramente di una normativa regionale di riferimento e soprattutto della necessaria storicizzazione del contributo per questi lavoratori da parte della Regione. Per i 45 Asu, inoltre, l’assunzione a tempo pieno dovrà avvenire con delle procedure concorsuali, a differenza dei 91 lavoratori recentemente stabilizzati che hanno visto il loro contratto trasformarsi a tempo indeterminato come da normativa, senza esami o concorsi. Il Comune di Ribera naturalmente adesso spera che la Regione Siciliana adotti per gli Asu gli stessi criteri dei precari, e che il governo regionale aiuti gli enti locali con la normativa e soprattutto con la ricerca delle somme di denaro necessarie per l’assunzione definitiva.
