Stiamo parlando del Bilirubinometro Transcutaneo messo a disposizione del reparto di Pediatria e Neonatologia diretto dal dottor Michele Porrello. Il bilirubinometro transcutaneo è un'apparecchiatura che permetterà di misurare la bilirubina nei neonati senza prelievo ematico, quindi evitando stress per il piccolo, il dolore per la puntura dell’ago e la successiva pressione sul tallone per far fuoriuscire il sangue dal capillare, l’attesa per l’esito ed anche il risparmio dei consumabili. Con questa apparecchiatura di ultima generazione, top di gamma nella categoria e nella tipologia, è possibile effettuare anche screening di massa su un numero elevato di neonati, se necessario anche più volte al giorno, con esito nel giro di pochi secondi. È sufficiente poggiare la sonda sulla cute del piccolo paziente per effettuare la rilevazione del valore della bilirubina.
