Inizia così la nota diramata oggi dai consiglieri comunali Salvatore Monte, Carmela Santangelo e Cinzia Deliberto, su sollecitazione di innumerevoli segnalazioni di cittadini che giornalmente, attraverso documentazione fotografica, dimostrano come tutto il centro antico della città e le periferie versino in stato di abbandono.
Erbacce ovunque, rifiuti abbandonati e territorio con la seria necessità di essere curato per il bene della salute pubblica.
Giorni fa è stato avviato il servizio di pulizia straordinaria ai bordi delle strade, ma alla luce dello stato attuale, con l'erba ogni giorni giorno più alta e più secca e rifiuti sparsi qua e là, come questa foto che ritrae persino servizi igienici, scarpe e indumenti, i tre consiglieri chiedono ufficialmente se esista un chiaro piano cronologico legato alla scerbatura del territorio.
“Lo chiediamo – scrivono Monte, Santangelo e Deliberto - pur considerando che abbiamo attraversato un periodo di crisi, ma è inconcepibile avere una città in un totale stato di abbandono. Dalla scalinata di Via Giulietta Normanna, passando per il centro storico, dalla scalinata che porta al quartiere della Marina, giungendo poi fino alla periferie – continuano i tre consiglieri - ci si rende conto dell’immane lavoro che occorre compiere per ridare smalto al nostro territorio. Se è vero che parte della stagione estiva, per ovvi motivi, risulta compromessa è anche vero che i cittadini meritano di godere di una città pulita e priva di qualsivoglia rifiuto”.
