immaginabili e in qualche caso inimmaginabili è un tema che da sempre è oggetto di scontro politico. L'ultimo della serie è delle scorse ore. Ne è scaturito l'ennesimo botta e risposta. Riepiloghiamo i fatti. Cinque consiglieri comunali di opposizione (nella fattispecie Silvio Caracappa, Gaetano Cognata, Cinzia Deliberto, Salvatore Monte e Carmela Santangelo) come è ormai risaputo, hanno diramato una nota sulla protesta dell'ANCI e del governo Musumeci contro Alitalia per i prezzi considerati inaccessibili per le tratte da e per la Sicilia. Non lo hanno detto espressamente, i cinque consiglieri, eppure a tutti era apparso piuttosto evidente che, tra le righe, volessero far notare come, all'aeroporto "Falcone Borsellino" di Palermo, tra i numerosi primi cittadini presenti con tanto di fascia tricolore non ci fosse anche Francesca Valenti. Difficile immaginare che non fosse una polemica, più o meno indiretta, tanto più che tra le righe del loro comunicato hanno plaudito apertamente alla partecipazione alla manifestazione in questione del sindaco di Sambuca di Sicilia Leo Ciaccio, da loro indicato come colui che a quella iniziativa avrebbe di fatto rappresentato un'intera zona, compresa evidentemente quindi quella saccense. Francesca Valenti però non ci sta a passare per una rappresentante istituzionale che non abbia a cuore le sorti turistiche del territorio saccense e di non combattere per tutelare e far crescere turisticamente Sciacca. E così, senza mezzi termini, il sindaco accusa Caracappa, Cognata, Deliberto, Monte e Santangelo di avere detto una bugia o, per meglio dire, di avere diffuso una "fake news" che - sostiene la Valenti - "ancora una volta mi lascia incredula ed amareggiata".
Evidenzia, così, il primo cittadino, un tenore della nota dei cinque esponenti dell'opposizione da lei definito "evidentemente fuorviante ed emblematico della superficialità con cui alcuni consiglieri tendono a fare opposizione a tutti i costi, creando false notizie al solo e unico scopo di denigrare l’operato dell’amministrazione". Spiega, così, Francesca Valenti, che l'invito da lei ricevuto era rivolto ai componenti del Consiglio regionale dell'Anci, organismo di cui - evidentemente - il sindaco di Sciacca non fa parte. "Mi spiace deludere i consiglieri comunali sottoscrittori della nota, ma io non avrei potuto partecipare", dice Francesca Valenti.
Ma i consiglieri comunali in questione oggi hanno controreplicato al sindaco, quasi cadendo dalle nuvole, evidenziando che la loro sollecitazione di ieri non aveva avuto alcuno scopo polemico, che non avevano nemmeno chiamato in causa la Valenti, di non averla criticata, ma di essersi limitati ad apprezzare il ruolo svolto dal sindaco di Sambuca. L'accusa alla Valenti è di avere equivocato, dunque. "Non per forza - sostengono - tutte le osservazioni o le note che una parte di opposizione redige, sono obbligatoriamente a sfondo polemico. La nostra nota di ieri, relativa alla manifestazione di protesta contro la gestione dei voli, targata “Alitalia”, non voleva in nessun modo rivolgersi al Sindaco di Sciacca che, invece, ha sentito chiamata in causa la sua figura, perché sapevamo bene chi fosse presente ed invitato a quella manifestazione". Insomma: parlano di "ennesima bagarre mediatica inutile", evidentemente dal loro punto di vista messa in atto dalla Valenti.
