perché gli eventuali costi umani, economici e sociali, potrebbero determinare la chiusura di alcuni comuni". È questo l'allarme lanciato dai sindaci agrigentini in una nota ai vertici del governo della Regione, all'Asp e al ministero della Salute. L'iniziativa, coordinata da Francesco Cacciatore, sindaco di Santo Stefano Quisquina e consigliere di Anci Sicilia, si inserisce nell'ambito di un quadro epidemiologico preoccupante della diffusione del Covid- 19. I timori sono essenzialmente quelli di un sistema sanitario carente, che fatica a garantire risposte sia in termini di prevenzione sia (soprattutto in alcune aree della provincia) in termini di mancanza di strutture ospedaliere. Chiedono i sindaci di assicurare campagne di tamponi rapidi e diagnosi precoci (attraverso i medici di base) nelle scuole e nelle famiglie, potenziare i laboratori di analisi per potere effettuare il maggior numero di tamponi possibili aumentando il personale dei distretti sanitari (a partire dalle Usca) per la tracciabilità dei contatti e prevenire ritardi e disservizi e di garantire anche i vaccini anti influenzali. Sui tamponi rapidi il sindaco di Santo Stefano è consapevole del margine di errore, anche se quelli emersi dai tamponi fatti a Sciacca sono stati decisamente troppi.
