Si continua con la proiezione dei corti, dei documentari e dei film, con le presentazioni di libri, i concerti e gli ospiti d'onore, tra cui la madrina del Festival, l'attrice e regista teatrale Isabella Ragonese che stasera tornerà a raccontarsi sul palco dell'Arena Giardino, in un' intervista insieme alla giornalista Rosy Abruzzo. La talentuosa attrice palermitana riceverà il Melqart, la statuetta fenicea in ceramica che rappresenta il festival saccense, direttamente dalle mani del patron Sino Caracappa.
Ma oggi saranno anche diversi saccensi i protagonisti della serata, a partire da Antonino Ciaccio che questa sera alle 19 al cortile Orquidea presenterà il suo libro sulla storia dei Perollo. Alle 20:00, all'Arena Giardino, verrà poiettato, invece, il docufilm “Greetings From Austin” di Vittorio Buongiorno, che racconta il viaggio di Don Diego, chitarrista siciliano con la passione per il country, film presente anche nel cartellone del festival di Marzamemi. L'ultimo lavoro di un altro saccense, Eduardo Veneziano, dal titolo “Un Baiano Pirandelliano” verrà, poi, presentato sia stasera che domani. E sarà tutto al saccense anche l'aperitivo in musica di stasera, con il Nanà jazz trio. Ma segnaliamo, per la giornata di oggi, anche la proiezione di “Sea Sorrow. Il dolore del mare”, documentario fuori concorso, e de “La Spartanza” di Salvo Cuccia per lo spazio Arena, pellicola in anteprima allo Sciacca Film Fest che sarà proiettata in contemporanea con il SalinaDoc Fest e Il Festival Internazionale del Documentario Visioni dal Mondo.
Domani, infine, per l'ultima serata del festival, previsti diversi eventi extra; il primo, alle 19:30, sarà dedicato al 70esimo anniversario de “Il nome della legge”: uno dei giudici del Festival, Luciano Accomando, converserà con l'editore Gianmarco Aulino sul noto film di Pietro Germi che, a seguire, verrà proiettato. Alla sala dell'albero, invece, Valentina Gebbia e Nunzio Giangrande presenteranno il loro “Chi ha paura di Giuliano?”. In omaggio, invece, a Isabella Ragonese, alla sala degli archi il film “Il padre d'Italia”, di Fabio Mollo.
A chiudere il festival, come di consueto, le premiazioni dei lavori in concorso, a cui seguirà, il concerto “Hommages” di Accursio Cortese al pianoforte e di Michele Bruno alla fisarmonica. Affiatato duo che proporrà al pubblico dell'Arena Giardino una serie di successi in ambito pop, soul, classico e jazz, rivisitati e proposto in modo singolare. Un progetto, come recita il titolo, che ha lo scopo di omaggiare diversi artisti che hanno lasciato il segno, da David Bowie a Pino Daniele, Luigi Tenco, Fabrizio De Andrè e tanti altri. Sarà, dunque, la musica di Accursio Cortese e Michele Bruno a salutare l'edizione 2018 dello Sciacca Film Fest.
